Mark’s sales career began in 1983 at Burton’s Biscuits and Philip Morris, where for six years he learnt classic FMCG sales skills and developed into first line management.
Having moved into non-food in 1989 at Coloroll Crossley, he continued to progress through various man and account management roles until in 1996, he was appointed Sales Director for the Consumer Division of Yale Security Products, then part of Williams Plc.
In 1998, he joined Ostendorf UK as Sales Director, the company being the supplier of B&Q’s own label paint ranges. During his three years at Ostendorf Mark launched B&Q Colours, range extensions in Kitchen & Bathroom, One Coat and Multi-Surface paints and increased turnover six-fold.

Graduating from university with a degree in Geography, Andrew began his career in retail management working for a number of the smaller electrical retailers, initially Scottish Power and then Powerhouse. The hands-on approach particularly appealed to Andrew giving him the opportunity to make a difference.
Having successfully managed a number of stores, he finally moved on ready for a new challenge with his acquired skills
Andrew joined Benchmark in 2003 working on territory in his native North West. His skills and retail knowledge were soon recognised and he was promoted to Regional Manager in late 2004. Andrew created the training modules and materials that are used to recruit, train and develop the Benchmark team and which ensure the highest standards of compliance are built into the working model.
In 2008, Andrew was appointed to the Board as Operations Director and continues to make a significant contribution to Benchmark’s on going success.
Graduating from Leeds University with a degree in Business Management in 2002, Andrew joined Benchmark on territory in his hometown of Leeds. Demonstrating considerable natural skills and drive, Andrew became Southern Regional Manager in 2004, a promotion that brought him south to live in London.
Working closely with his team, Andrew helped to develop their individual skills but also showed considerable talent liaising with clients. In order to fully utilise these skills Andrew was promoted to Account Manager in 2006, since which time he has been the front line contact for all our clients.
His extensive knowledge of retail systems, store procedures and merchandising principles is invaluable to clients, enabling Andrew to convert a brief into store activity, designed to deliver the best possible results, for the lowest possible investment.
